For several decades, the name Robert Brunel has been a benchmark in the world of bulk sales of fine wines. Today, we’re taking a new step by becoming Vins RB. This change embodies our commitment to modernity, while remaining true to our roots.
With our recognized expertise and know-how, we offer you a unique approach to the world of wine. As a key player in the bulk wine trade, we carefully select wines that reflect the rich terroirs of 3 of our favorite regions: Provence, Vallée du Rhone and Languedoc. What’s more, our technical expertise enables us to create tailor-made cuvées, designed to meet the most specific expectations and celebrate the identity of each project.
from terroir to blending: An Expertise in Southern Wines
Experts in red wines, we select our supplies from private cellars and cooperatives in Provence, the Rhône Valley and Languedoc, with the support of brokerage firms. Each blend is precisely designed to meet our customers’ specifications, from first-price to premium wines and private labels. We offer VDF, IGP Oc (Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet) and AOP Côtes du Rhône, as well as rosés in IGP Méditerranée and AOP Côtes de Provence. The range is completed by Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Saint Joseph crus.
Wine & Rugby
“The meeting of 2 passions”.
Founded in 2002 by Mr Robert Brunel, a rugby fan and Syrah wine enthusiast from Tain l’Hermitage, our company has become a key player in the bulk wine trade over the years.
Based at Château du Liman, in the heart of the Rhône Valley, Mr Brunel developed the business before handing it over to Eric Gauthier in 2007.
Oenologist and rugby player who played in the 90s for Valence d’Agen (D1), Montélimar (D2) then Aubenas in Pro D2.
The 2 men share the same values for teamwork and the art of wine blending. Their collaboration soon became a matter of course.
In 2015, the company opened up to exports, notably to China.
In 2020, in the midst of COVID, a series of investments are decided to enable the company to remain competitive.
In 5 years, the site has been completely renovated (insulation, air conditioning, nitrogen generator in the winery + renovation of offices and exteriors).
Today, we handle 150,000 hl of wine a year, with a constant focus on quality and precision.
rb wines: an international wine merchant
While France remains our main market, we export a growing proportion of our wines to Europe (Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland), Asia (China, Vietnam) and North America (USA, Canada). Our expertise and technical mastery enable us to adapt our wines to the specific requirements of these export markets, including the preparation of Flexitank for container shipment.
Cutting-edge tools for mastered wines
Located at Château Le Liman, our company has high-performance equipment for blending and storage, with a total capacity of 40,000 hL. EcoCert certified, we guarantee the quality of organic wines and use advanced technologies to stabilize, filter and analyze cuvées, ensuring optimal control of each batch. In addition, we work with the COFRAC-certified Dubernet d’Orange laboratory for Phenol monitoring and Export analyses, as well as the calibration of our FOSS.
